Spain and US Inmigartion.

Spain has become a target country for immigrants from Latin America and Africa. Since 2015, the flow of migrants has increased significantly, with Colombians (7.5%) and Moroccans (8.8%) having the highest percentages. Nonetheless, African migrants are now coming in large numbers to the coastal city of Ceuta. In the past year, in the first week of March, 8,000 immigrants from Morroco arrived by swimming in the Spanish territory that is connected to Africa. Most of them were sent back to Morroco because of an agreement between the countries.

In the United States, the immigration crisis only worsens with the massive arrival of people, mostly from Central America. Although US Customs and Border Protection encountered 1,734,686 immigrants in 2021, the number of encounters this year is the highest in three years. The immigration crisis is only getting worse, and people are complaining about the treatment they are receiving from border officers.

Both countries are having problems with their immigration flows. This is due to the economic crisis the pandemic created. Many people in these countries are unemployed or are receiving threats that have pushed them to leave their country for their safety. The crisis is only going to get worse. Therefore, both countries need urgent immigration reforms that will help the deplorable condition these people are in.
